BRITT - Carl W. Swyter, 81, of Britt, died Monday (July 27, 1992) at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Britt, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt, with an Odd Fellows service at 7:30 p.m.

Carl W. Swyter was born Dec. 10, 1910, near Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Swyter of Britt; three sons, Roger Swyter, Waterloo, Robert Swyter, Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Ross Swyter, Britt; two sisters, Hattie Feather, Riceville, and Alice Nelson, Mason City; three brothers, William Swyter, Humboldt, Morris Swyter, Cedar Rapids, and Maynard Swyter, Mason City; and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
