Gertrude 'Gertie' Sonerholm

BRITT - Gertrude "Gertie" Sonerholm, 101, Britt, died Sunday (Nov. 28, 1993) at Westview Care Center, Britt.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Upper Flat Evangelical Free Church, with the Rev. Tom Moeri officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Gertrude Sonerholm was born Jan. 10, 1892, at Britt.

She is survived one daughter, Fern Reed, Waterloo; one son, Layton Sonerholm, Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three sisters and two brothers.
