BRITT - Mrs. William (Ruth M.) Schuver, 76, Cherokee Village, Ark., formerly of Britt, died Sunday (July 4, 1982) at a Jonesboro, Ark., hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Carter Ewing Funeral Home, Britt, with the Rev. J. Vallery officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schuver was born in Kanawha and graduated from Kanawha High School in 1924. She married William Schuver in 1924 at Waterloo and the couple farmed in the Kanawha and Britt areas for about 10 years.
They lived in Minnesota for a short time and returned to Britt where they owned and operated Schuver Fur Co. for many years. In 1970 they retired and moved to Cherokee Village, Ark.
Mrs. Schuver was a member of the United Methodist Church, Britt, and the Charity Rebekah Lodge 334, Britt.
Survivors include her husband, William; one daughter, Mrs. Hans (Ruby) Sluik, Monrovia, Calif.; two sons, Billy, Kanawha. and Kay, Bemidji, Minn.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Allis Walske, Cherokee Village, Ark.
