BRITT - Anna E. (Heidenwith) Sankey, 80, of Britt, died Wednesday (May 7, 1986) at a Britt hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 this afternoon at First Lutheran Church, Britt, with the Rev. James A. Mattson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery Britt.
Visitation is until noon today at Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt, and at the church until time of services.
Born Dec. 31, 1905, at Lotts Creek, her parents were Charles and Emily Heidenwith.
She attended country schools near their family farm.
She married Leo Sankey in 1926 at Lotts Creek. The couple farmed in Kossuth County until 1935. They then moved to a farm near Britt. The couple established the Sankey Sand & Gravel Company in 1935. They retired and moved to Britt in 1953.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Britt, where she served as Sunday school superintendent. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of First Lutheran Church and C.C.H. Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, a granddaughter, and her husband.
Survivors include: a son, Harold Sankey, Britt, and seven grandchildren.
