BRITT — LeeRoy "Lee" Fedders, 42, of Britt, died Tuesday (Oct. 25, 1994) at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Britt, with the Rev. Brent Wassink officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral Home, Britt.
Lee, the son of Marinus and Wilma Kroeze Fedders, was born on Aug. 19, 1952, in Orange City, Iowa. He attended Orange City Christian Schools and graduated from Unity Christian High School in 1970. He then attended Dordt College and later graduated from South Dakota State School of Pharmacy in 1976.
Lee was united in marriage to Charlotte Sapp on May 11, 1973, in Volga, S.D. The couple first made their home in Albert Lea, Minn., where Lee worked at North Park.
In June of 1979, they moved to Britt, where Lee worked and eventually purchased Fedders Healthmart Pharmacy in January of 1990. Most recently, Fedders Healthmart Pharmacy received "Healthmart of the Year," Kansas City Division, 1994.
For Lee, life was his hobby. His interests were almost too numerous to mention, but included gardening, yard work, skiing and tennis.
Lee was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Britt. He was an active member of the Christian Reformed Church, where he served on the church council and as youth group leader.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte "Char;" two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica; and one son, Jason, all at home; his mother, Wilma Fedders of Orange City; three brothers, Gerald Fedders and his wife, Carol, of Littleton, Colo.; Marlo Fedders and his wife, Darlene, of Orange City; and Ken Fedders and his wife, DeLaine, of Britt; two sisters, Lila Rohde of Arcadia, Calif., and LaDonna Fedders of Sioux Falls, S.D. (which is his twin sister); father and mother-in-law, Earl and Mildred Sapp of Bruce, S.D.; three sisters-in-law, Martha and her husband, Stan Hibma of Orange City; Barbara and her husband, Les VanderPlaats; of Orange City; Sarah and her husband, Kevin Carter of Rapid City, S.D.; three brothers-in-law, Charles and his wife, Ruth Sapp of Volga, S.D.; Steve and his wife, Lori Sapp of Volga, S.D.; Paul and his wife, Peggy Sapp of Holland, Mich.; 15 nieces; 11 nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marinus, on Oct. 15, 1994.
