ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Feb. 15, 1883

Died at Madison Twp, Hancock Co., IA. on Sat. morning, Feb. 10, 1883, Franklin R. son of J. H. and Maria Hennenhofer, aged 9 years.

The little boy was sick for about 3 weeks, and not withstanding, he had the best of care and every possible attention, it did not avail and he passed away. Frank was a bright intelligent boy, a general favorite, and will be sadly missed. -- The afflicted family have the sympathy of all in their hour of sadness and bereavement.

The funeral services were held at Crystal Lake and were conducted by Rev. J. D. Mason after which the interment in the in the cemetery at that place was made. (poem followed-----)
