ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Apr. 23, 1959

Mrs. Iver Brown, died April 12 at Britt. She was 68 years of age.

Survivors include 6 sons, Milton of St. Paul, Richard of Woden, Robert of Britt, Myron of Casper, Wyo., Newell of Britt and Merle of Woden, 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a brother, John Williams of Redmond, Ore., 3 sisters, Mrs. Alfred Brown of Mason city, Mrs. Harold Andregg of Dougherty and Mrs. Ralph Sloan, Cedar Falls.

Preceded by her husband in 1952, a son, Harold was killed in an accident in 1929.

Services at the Methodist church in Woden with burial in Evergreen cemetery at Britt.

Britt Woman Dies at 68; Rites Wednesday

Britt - Mrs. Iver J. Brown, 68, died Sunday at the Hancock Memorial Hospital here, Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt, and at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church, Woden. The Rev. F. W. Shreve will officiate assisted by the Rev. Ernest V. Streed. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

Born May 5, 1890, at Clarion, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Williams. She was married May 5, 1910, in West Bend. The couple lived on a farm near Huntington until moving to the Britt vicinity in 1931. Her husband died in 1952.

Surviving are six sons, Milton, St. Paul; Richard, Woden; Robert, Britt; Myron, Casper Wyo.; Newell, Britt; Merle, Woden; 21 grandchildren, four great grandchildren. A son, Harold, was killed in an accident in 1929. Also surviving are a brother and three sisters, John Williams, Redmond, Ore; Mrs. Alfred (Williametta) Brown, Mason City; Mrs. Harold (Rosetta) Andregg, Dougherty and Mrs. Ralph (Elizabeth) Sloan, Cedar Falls.
