ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Sept. 28, 1961

Mrs. William Henschen, 72, longtime Madison twp. resident died Tues. at Britt.

Born Sept. 13, 1889 at New Knoxville, Ohio, daughter of Christian M. and Caroline Mollenkamp Meckstroth. Came to Ia. at the age of 3, to Britt in 1956. Teacher in rural schools. In 1956 married William Henschen.

Survived by her husband, 2 sisters. Mrs. Herman Gelner of Forest City and Mrs. Amanda Hallett of Salem. Oreg. Her father died in 1895 and her mother remarried in 1898.

Services at Zion Evangelical Reformed church at Garner with burial in the Concord cemetery.
