1905-1988Services for Robert W. "Bob" Sinclair, 82, of Minneapolis, MN and formerly of Garner, who died Sunday, April 3, 1988 at a Minneapolis hospital, were held at Lake Harriett Methodist Church in Minneapolis with the Rev. Melvyn Budke officiating. Graveside services were held Thursday, April 7 at St. Boniface Cemetery in Garner.
Robert W. Sinclair, the son of Roy and Carrie Sinclair, was born in Clarion on September 10, 1905. He attended Garner Schools and graduated in 1923. He attended Coe College and was a graduate of the University of Iowa in the class of 1928.
September 14, 1929, he married Marguerite Fritsch in Garner. "Bob" owned and operated the Sinclair Studio in Garner until 1943 when he left to help in the war effort, working in the Photographic Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The family later moved to Des Moines, Owatonna and Minneapolis. He was a retired commercial loan officer for the Marquette National Bank in Minneapolis and was a former president of the North Central Credit Assn. He was a member of the Lake Harriett Methodist Church in Minneapolis.
Mr. Sinclair is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jane) Sell, Fairfax County, VA, and Mrs. Francis (Susan) McShane, Edina, MN; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite, and one sister, Ione Gilbert.
