Emma Olson Rites Held
Clear Lake - Funeral services for Miss Emma Olson, 80, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. B. A. Rust, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Mason City, officiating. Mrs. Don Goranson, vocal soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Harry Mason at the organ. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt.
Miss Olson, the last known survivor of her family, died Monday morning at a Clear Lake nursing home where she has been a patient the last four years.
Emma Olson was born Feb. 15, 1878, in Sweden to Ben and Carrie Olson. She came to the United States when a young woman with her parents. They lived a while in the Chicago vicinity before moving to Britt.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1913, her father in 1934; two brothers, John and Olof, both in 1939, and a sister, Tilda, in 1946. Miss Olson was a member of the Clear Lake Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S.
