Paul Madson

Britt - Paul Madson, 72, died of a heart attack Friday at his farm home northwest of Britt. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Upper Flat Evangelical Church. The Rev. Percy G. Carlsson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with Boughton Funeral Home in charge.

Born June 12, 1891, near Britt, he was married Dec. 23, 1914, to Mary Munson at Atlantic, Iowa. He was a farmer and carpenter and was employed by the ASC 27 years. He served as a township trustee and school director and belonged to the IOOF.

Surviving are a son, Richard, Wesley; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Alice Marie) Manson, Dundee, Iowa; Mrs. Russell (Alma) Swanson, Wesley; Mrs. Merle (Lola) Muhm, Britt; 11 grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1962, a son, Rodney, a daughter, Wanda Lee; a sister and three brothers.
