Plan Funeral for Joe Medved

Britt Man Will Be Buried Thursday; Died in Mason City

Britt - Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the Duncan church for Joe Nedved, who died Monday afternoon at a Mason City hospital following a major operation. Burial will be in Britt Evergreen cemetery.

Rites Held For Britt Farmer

Joseph C. Nedved Was Born in Europe, Came to America in 1864

Britt - Funeral services were held Thursday at the St. Wenceslaus church at Duncan for Joseph C. Nedved, Britt, with the Rev. Jaroslav Skluzacek officiating.

Mr. Nedved died at Mason City July 31. He had been there for two weeks and had submitted to an operation.

Mr. Nedved was born in Bohemia March 7, 1864. He came to America in 1880 and settled on a farm near Garner. Later Mr. and Mrs. Nedved settled on a farm in the south edge of Duncan.

Surviving are four sons, Edward, Duncan; James, Cedar Rapids; Joseph, Omaha, Nebr., and Releigh, Britt; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Charles, both of Duncan; and four sisters, Mrs. John Brcka, Duncan; Mrs. Sladek, Merrill, Wisc.; Mrs. Barbara Fohrman, Brook Park, Minn., and Mrs. Henry Buzicky, Duncan.

Mr. Nedved was a member of the Catholic church, of the M.W.A., and I.O.O.F. lodges. Burial was in the Duncan cemetery.
