J. Mikkelson, 86 Dies Suddenly Wednesday A.M.

Johannes Mikkelson, 86, widely known prominent farmer north of Britt died suddenly Wednesday morning at 10:30 at his farm home following a heart attack. No arrangements for the services have been made, pending word from his children at distant points. The arrangements are being made at the Boughton Funeral Home.

Mr. Mikkelson was born March 24, 1878 in Denmark. He has lived in the Upper Flat community since 1914, and was a member of the Upper Flat Evangelical church.

Surviving Mr. Mikkelson are four sons and three daughters: Jens, at Forest City; Mr. Norman (Christina) Hanson, Britt; Chris, who farmed with his father; Mrs. Oliver (Martha) Martin, San Francisco, Calif.; Joe, Britt; Silas, Miami, Florida; and Mrs. D. E. (Laurena) Dawson, Mobile, Alabama. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as one sister, Mrs Trena Hanson.
