Retired Farmer of Kanawha, native of Norway, Dies at 81
Kanawha - After an illness of several weeks, Knud Andreas Larson, 81, died at his home in Kanawha Friday. He was born in Norway. He received his secular education in the school of his home community in Norway. In 1880 he volunteered to serve in the military service of his country and attended an officer's training school in Christians. He was graduated from this school by examination in 1883.
In 1883 he emigrated to America.
In 1914 Mr. and Mrs. Larson made a trip to Norway where they stayed for a year.
Mr. Larson had been a resident of Kanawha since he moved into the city in 1915.
He was a retired farmer. For many years he was an active member of the former Twin Lakes Lutheran congregation and at the time of his death he was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran church.
He leaves his widow and a daughter, Mrs. Hannah Nelson of Billings, Mont.
Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. There were private devotions at the home at 1:30 p.m. Pastor M. N. Peterson officiated. The ladies quartet sang.
Interment was in the Kanawha cemetery. Pallbearers were T. H. Thompson. T. J. Dahl, Eli Olson, William Thompson, Joseph Anderson and Henry Severson.
