Johnson Funeral to Be Friday at Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake - Funeral services for Mrs. Peter J. Johnson, 81, who died Sunday at the L. and M. Nursing Home, Clear Lake, following an illness of 2 years, will be held here Friday at 2 at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Gerhard Hjelmaas will officiate. A prayer service will precede the church service at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt.

Angie Lois Ragan, daughter of John and Grace E. Ragan, was born Feb. 2, 1876, in Ludlow Township, near Waukon. She was graduated from Upper Iowa University, Fayette.

Her parents moved to Hancock County the later part of the century and she taught school in the Crystal Lake community for many years. On March 21, 1902, she was married to James Peter Johnson at Crystal Lake. They established their home on a farm near Crystal Lake and later moved to Rockwell. Later they moved to Shannon City, and then back to Crystal Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson moved to Clear Lake two years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson is her husband and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Clair I. (Lillian) Wilson, Flint, Mich.
