J. Janson, Crystal Lake, Dies at Britt

Crystal Lake - Funeral services for Julius Janson, 74, will be Thursday at the Methodist Church at 2. A prayer service at the family home will precede the church service. The Boughton Funeral Home Britt is in charge of the services.

Jensen died early Monday at the Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt, following an extended illness.

He was born in Denmark on Dec. 26, 1881, and came to America at the age of 2. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larson. Janson was educated in schools in the vicinity of Buffalo Center and Britt.

On June 15 , 1910, he married Olga Larson, at the home of the bride's parents. They established their home on the farm where they have been living since. He was a member of the Methodist Church. active in community affairs, Janson was a well known farmer in Hancock County.

Surviving are his wife, the children, Donald, Ft. Dodge; Richard, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Jerry (Mavis) Olin, Spencer; Mrs. Clair (Carol) Siepmann, Jesup, and Curtis, who operates the home farm. There are eight grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Christina Fox, Britt; Martin Larson, Glendale, Calif.; Otto Larson, Crystal Lake; Arthur Larson, Cumming; Mrs. Laura Barnum, Minneapolis and Mrs. Daisy Denger, Hollydale, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William, and a sister, Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Jensen.
The Rev. Gerhard Hjelmaas will be in charge of the services. Interment will be at Crystal Cemetery, Crystal Lake.
