Aged Resident Of Garner Dies
Mrs. Michael Olson, 91, Lived With Son Herman

Garner - Mrs. Michael Olson, 91, died at the Clear Lake nursing home at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be held at the Herman Olson home in Garner at 2 p.m. Friday and the Methodist church at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. E. F. Broberg officiating. Burial will be in the Concord township cemetery.

Mrs. Olson, nee Bertha Wigen, was born in Hardanger, Norway, Oct. 12, 1852, the daughter of Lars and Bertha (Linge) Wigen.

In 1868 she came to Decorah to live with an aunt. She was married July 30, 1881, to Michael Olson at Ottawa, Ill. They moved to a farm near Monroe Center, Ill., where their three children were born.

Ida Lillie, a daughter, died in 1899. A son, Louis B., lives on a farm in Ellington township, Hancock county, where the family settled in 1902. It was at the home of the other son, Herman A., in Garner that she lived since the spring of 1917. A sister lives in Norway.

Her husband died in 1895.
