W. D. Niederfrank dies at Garner
Garner - Funeral services for Willis Donald Niederfrank, 55, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ here. The Rev. Leroy Franz will officiate. burial will be in Concord Cemetery with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW.
Born in Greeley he was the son of Edward and Viola Niederfrank. He attended Iowa State University at Ames. He served in World War II and is a member of the American Legion. He was married to Velva Carothers Oct. 16, 1939 at Garner. For the last 19 years he has been manager of the elevator for the Farmers Co-Op Society here. He died at a Mason City Hospital Sunday afternoon after a series of heart attacks.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Donald Jr., a student at Iowa State University, Ames; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Dilla Kay) Kabrick, Britt, two grandsons, four brothers, Dr. E. J. Niederfrank, Arlington, Va.; Lewis, Fresno, Calif, Edward and Elmer, National City, Calif, a sister, Mrs. E. E. (Mary) Ostrander, Fresno.
