Joe Wellik Funeral Is Held in Duncan Church

Duncan, May 9 - Funeral services for Joe Wellik, 76, were held Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church here in charge of the Rt. Rev. Monsignor Kopecky. Born in Bohemia May 1, 1863, he came to this country when a child. He was married to Miss Petrona Ptacek, May 16, 1886. They lived since in the vicinity of Duncan. Surviving is his wife, Petrona, and 10 children, Frank, Henry, Joe, Jilji, Mrs. Albert Hrubes, Mrs. Ed Hrubes, Mrs. James Vrba, Mrs. William Nedvid, Mrs. John Rayhons and Mrs. James Nedvid, all near Duncan, and 29 grandchildren, one brother Charles Wellik, and two sisters, Mrs. William Fritsch and Mrs. Ben Krall, all of Garner.
