Garner woman succumbs after long illness

Garner - Mrs. Frank J. Trca, 71, died Sunday at Hancock Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. L. B. Striegel will officiate. The Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bohn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Born Abbie Vrba, April 30, 1890, in Protivin, she was the daughter of John and Anna Konicek Vrba. She was married in 1913 in Duncan. The couple farmed northwest of Garner until retiring in 1937.

Surviving are her husband, five sisters, Mrs. John (Anne) Rika, Cresco; Mrs. John (Mary) Hospodorsky, Des Moines; Mrs. Frank (Emma) Nemetz, Forest City; Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Nemetz, Ventura; Mrs. J. J. (Frances) Nedved, Cedar Rapids.
