Rites to Be Thursday for Aged Britt Woman

Britt - Mrs. William Shields died at her home in south Britt Sunday after an illness of many months. Mr. and Mrs. Shields and children lived on farms in the vicinity of Stilson and Britt for many years. They retired and moved to Britt where the since resided.

Mrs. Shields was born Sally Hunter Nov. 5, 1873, in the state of Indiana and was married Oct. 29, 1893, to William Shields at Sullivan, Ill. To this union 7 children were born, 1 son preceding their mother in death.

Surviving are the husband and 6 children and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Boughton funeral home with the Rev. James M. Miller of Bristow officiating and the Stilson choir furnishing the music. Interment will be in the Britt Evergreen cemetery.
