Mrs. Michael Malek

Duncan - Funeral services for Mrs. Michael Malek will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Duncan.

Mrs. Malek died Friday at Concord Manor Home in Garner. She was born Feb. 10, 1888, at Ackley to Albert and Katherine Jansky Hrubes. She was married Oct. 8, 1907, to Michael Malek. They farmed near Duncan until 1942 then moved to Chicago. She returned to the area when he died in 1962.

Surviving are four sons, James, Berwyn, Ill., Rudolph, Westmont, Ill.; Alfred, LaMesa, Calif.; Larry, Bloomington, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Marie) Zrostlik, Hayfield; Mrs. Harold (Rose) Geddes, Garner; 27 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Martin (Anna) Stupka, Garner; two brothers, Ed Hrubes, Britt; Albert Hrubes, Klemme.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and her husband.

The Rosary will be said for the family at the Boughton Funeral in Britt Sunday at 3 p.m. and at 7:30 for the parish.
