Henschen Rites To Be Tuesday

Had Been Resident of Garner Since Moving There in 1878

Garner - Henry Henschen, 83, pioneer resident of the Garner community, died at his home here Saturday.

Mr. Henschen was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and at an early age moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Henschen, to Warren county, Mo. In 1878 the family moved to the Garner community and Mr. Henschen had lived here continuously since.

In 1885 Mr. Henschen married Meta Gorath. Surviving are his wife; a son, Earl of Garner; a brother Louis of Garner, and two half brothers, Fred of Klemme and Julius of Corwith.

Mr. Henschen followed the trade of a mason for many years in partnership with his son, Earl, and built many of Garner's cement sidewalks.

Funeral services in charge of the Rev. Calvin Groeshousch pastor of the Klemme Reformed church, will be held from the Zion Reformed church in Garner at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Concord township cemetery.
