Franklin Trass [Traas] Succumbs at Home After Long Illness
Britt - Funeral services for Franklin Trass, 16, who died Monday night, will be held Thursday afternoon with a prayer service at 2 p.m. at the Boughton funeral home in Britt and 2:30 p.m. at the Crystal Lake Methodist church with the Rev. Miriam Hotchkiss in charge assisted by the Rev. B. A. Russ of Britt. Burial will be in the Crystal cemetery.
Franklin Louis Trass was born Nov. 9, 1925 at Booneville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Trass. He was a student in the Hayfield school. He died Monday night of pneumonia and complications from an operation three years ago. He had not been able to attend school the past three years.
Surviving are his parents and two sisters, Ruby and Catherine.

Trass Funeral Held Thursday
Crystal Lake Boy Dies at Farm Home After Long Illness
Crystal Lake - Funeral services were held Thrusday afternoon at 2:30 for Franklin Lewis Trass, who died at the farm home of his parents Monday evening after being in ill health for the past three years.
Lewis was born Nov. 9, 1925, at Booneville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Trass, who have lived in this community for several years.
The service was in charge of the Rev. Miriam Hotchkiss, assisted by the Rev. B. A. Rust of Britt. The mixed quartet sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Face to Face."
The pallbearers were Peter Lewerke, Harm Lewerke, James Haan, Vincint Kirschbaum and Bennie Goldstein.
Besides his parents Lewis leaves two sisters, Ruby and Catherine, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Burial was made in the Crystal cemetery.
