Funeral Saturday for Aged Britt Resident

Britt - Funeral services for Jacob Sweers were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boughton funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free church, with the Rev. E. Lindgren officiating. Burial in Evergreen cemetery. He died Wednesday.

Mr. Sweers was born in Germany March 2, 1857, was married May 6, 1881 and came to the United States in 1890, farming southwest of Britt until 1921 when the family moved to Britt.

Twelve children were born to the union, only 4 of whom survive. They are Mrs. Joe Leerar, Mrs. John Brower and Herman Sweers of Britt and Mrs. Walter Smidt of Laurel, Mont.
