Britt Mother of 4 Dies in Hospital

Britt - Funeral services for Mrs. Orrin Smith, 36, wife of a farmer northwest of Britt, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hansen and at the Upper Flat Evangelical church at 2 p.m., the Rev. E. Walter Lindgren officiating. The Boughton funeral home will be in charge. She died Tuesday in a hospital at Mason City where she underwent an operation.

Mrs. Smith was born April 2, 1914, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ross, at Lorimor. She attended Lorimor high school and on Oct. 17, 1933, was married to Orrin Smith of Britt. They established their home on a farm.

Besides her husband she leaves 4 children, Mary Lou, Robert Lee, Paul L. and Alan, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ross of Lorimor, brothers Fred and Floyd Ross of Lorimor and a sister, Mrs. Arthur Henry of Des Moines.
