Britt - Gunborg Tollefson was born May 5, 1853, in Valders, Norway, and died at her home in Britt September 1, 1934, at the age of 81 years and four months. She came to America with her sister, Mary in 1869, to Rock Creek, Mitchell county.

She was married at Rock Creek to Nels Nelson in 1880. They moved to Twin Lake and lived there until 1886, when they moved to Britt where she lived until the time of her death. She was the last of a family of four. Her husband preceded her in death in 1928.

The only relatives left to mourn her loss are two nieces, Isabel Hanson of Britt and Mrs. Clara Devine of Humboldt. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon in charge of the Rev. R. S. Berntsen. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
