Former Mayor of City Dies

John Inman Dies at Homes Of Son-in-Law in Florida Tuesday Night

John Inman, 88, died at the home of his son-in-law, Dr. Glenn Smith at Miami. Florida, Tuesday night, according to a telegram received by his nephew, Paul Moor.

Inman was former mayor of Laurens. He owned a farm northeast of Laurens and property in and around Britt. He spent most of his time between towns until he went to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Glen Smith two years ago in March. Mrs. Smith preceded him in death, having passed away in July last year.

John Inman Rites Are Held at Britt

Britt - Funeral services for John Inman were held Saturday at the Boughton funeral home with the Rev. A. R. Larson in charge. Burial was in Britt Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Inman, a former Britt resident, died Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law, Dr. R. Glen Smith, in Miami, Fla.

Pallbearers were Norman Nelson, Roy McMillan, Ton Fox, Henry Meyer, Will Schwab and August Lee.

Mr.and Mrs. Paul Moor, Mrs. Weston Moor and J. O. Moor attended the funeral of John Inman at Britt Saturday. Mr. Inman a former Laurens man, was 88 years old.
