August Grunz Rites Conducted; Interment at Garner Cemetery

Funeral services for August Gruns[z], 89, who died Wednesday evening at a local hospital, following a short illness, were held Saturday afternoon at the Patterson funeral home, with the Rev. F. W. Wendland, pastor of Grace Evangelical church, officiating.

Miss Madlyn Baker sang "Crossing the Bar" and "The 23rd Psalm," accompanied by Mrs. Earl Ehlers at the organ.

Services also were held at the Bohn funeral home at Garner. Mrs. Cora Werthenbach and Mrs. Jessie Davis were in charge of flowers.

Pallbearers were Donald Moon, Ray Moon, Burnie Chase, Anthony Pavek, Charles Pheiser and Harry Dull. Burial was at the Garner cemetery. The Patterson funeral home in charge.
