Mrs. Oner Dow Will Be Buried Thursday in Garner Cemetery

Garner, March 25 - Burial services will be held in Concord cemetery here for Mrs. Oner Dow, Des Moines, Thursday afternoon following memorial services at Des Moines. Mrs. Dow who was a resident of Garner for many years, died Monday morning at her home near the state historical building in Des Moines. Mrs. Dow served as president for 10 years of the Des Moines branch of the W.F.M.S. of the Methodist Episcopal church. This branch includes Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. As field secretary, Mrs. Dow was well known thru this region.

Mrs. Dow Rites Held In Garner

Former Resident Was Head of Des Moines Branch of W.F.M.S

Garner, March 27 - A memorial service was held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Oner Dow, Des Moines, former resident here. The W.F.M.S. of the local Methodist church conducted the services with Mrs. Wichman, president of the organization, presiding. She spoke a few words in memory of Mrs. Dow. Mrs. F. M. Spayde and Mrs. F. E. Blackstone told of the younger days of Mrs. Dow when she lived in Garner. The service was closed with a prayer by the Rev. Marion Sunderlin.

Those attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Clare Dow and son Robert, Sheridan Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Davis, Foley, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Dow, Forest City; Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Dow, Sheffield; Mrs. E. J. Olson, Mrs. George Bolsinger, Mrs Carl Halverson all of Forest City; Marguerite Dow, Muscatine, Mrs. Flora Dudley, Des Moines; Mrs. H. E. Watts, Clear Lake; Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Brookes, Forest City and Mr. and Mrs. ed Bailey of Belmond. This service followed interment in Concord cemetery. Funeral rites had been held in Des Moines. Mrs. Dow was for 10 years president of the Des Moines branch of the W.F.M.S.
