Mrs. Winton Pletcher Answers Final Call After Long Illness

Funeral Services Held At Crystal Lake Monday, Buried At Crystal Lake

Special to Garner Leader and Signal

Madison - Emma M. Pletcher was born at Donnelson, Iowa, September 16, 1883, and passed away October 5, 1934, at her home three miles east and one mile south of Crystal Lake, at the age of 51 years and 19 days. She had been a sufferer for a period of several years and death came as a relief from the physical suffering.

Emma M. Reits was united in marriage to Winton A. Pletcher March 30, 1910, at Donnelson. To this union six children were born: Lloyd of Hayfield, Mrs. Gerrard Johnson of Britt, Leonard, Howard and Robert at home, and one baby who passed away in infancy.

The family, after marriage , lived at Eagle Grove until 1918 when they moved to their present home where they resided all these years.

Mrs. Pletcher leaves her husband and her children and their families and also her parents and three brothers and two sisters.

Her heart's desire was to remain with her family. She was a loving mother in the home and a friend to all round about. Her departure leaves a great vacant place here but is a beckoning invitation to meet her in heaven. This was her last audible expression from her lips.

The services were conducted by the Rev. B. A. Rust of Britt, pastor of the Baptist church. She was laid to rest in the Crystal Lake cemetery Monday afternoon.
