Mrs. Moe, 64, Garner, Is Dead

Rites to be Held Saturday at Clear Lake Church for Pioneer

Garner, Feb. 22 - Mrs. Jens Moe, 64, died Thursday morning at her home near Garner following an illness since Saturday when she suffered a paralytic stroke. Marie Gleje, was born March 5, 1870 at Gleje, Norway, and came to America at an early age. She was married to Jens Moe at Morris, Ill., July 4, 1897, where they liver for 3 years before coming to Garner 34 years ago living on their farm continuously.

Surviving is her husband Jens, two sons, Truman of Madelia, Minn., and Harry of Ventura ans three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Horstman of Woden, Mrs. Thelma Blank of Emerson and Miss Thersa Moe, who teaches school near Britt.

Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church at Clear Lake, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock preceded by a service at the home at 1 o'clock in charge of her pastor, the Rev. H. O. Urness of Clear Lake. Mrs. Moe had been a life long member of the church at Clear Lake which she attended regularly. Burial will be in the cemetery at Clear Lake.
