Mrs. John Gordon Britt, Passed Away Sunday, October 14
Body Interred In Family Burial Lot In Evergreen Cemetery, Britt, Wed.

Britt - Mrs. John Gordon died at her home at 4 a.m. Sunday, following a paralytic stroke suffered last Monday.
Mary Emma Wright was born at Monticello, Ill., February 22, 1866. On December 3, 1885 she was married to John T. Gordon. In 1896 they came to Britt and took up farming. They farmed until 1922, when they retired to Britt.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Golda Kirschbaum, Crystal Lake, Mrs. Hettie Cook, Wesley; Mrs. Viola Marschand of Britt, and Miss Laura Gordon of Britt; and two sons, Isaac, of Forest City, and Walter, of Britt; 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. John Muligan, Bondville, Ill., and Mrs. John Stillabower, Strasburg, Ill.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 at the Methodist church with the Rev. Ralph Baker of Woden in charge. Burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery, beside Mr. Gordon, who died March 16 1932.
