DIED—John Kirk, living about three miles northwest of here died Saturday evening, Jan. 18th of typhoid fever. He is about 40 years of age and leaves a wife and two children. The news of his death came as a surprise to many as he has always been a strong healthy man. Such is life. Services were held at the home Monday afternoon. [Crystal Lake news correspondent]
