Verner B. 'Pete' Priebe

KLEMME - Verner B. "Pete" Priebe, 85, of Klemme, died on Saturday (Nov. 20, 1999) at the Concord Care Center in Garner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Klemme, with Paster Curtis DeVance officiating. Interment will be in Ell Township Cemetery in KIemme.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, Klemme and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.

Verner B. "Pete" Priebe, the son of Herman and Katie (Swalve) Priebe, was born March 26, 1914, on a farm south of Klemme, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the Reformed Church of Klemme.

He was united in marriage to Louise Rosendahl. They began their married life farming south of Klemme. Their last years together were shared in their own home in Klemme.

Through the years, Verner served on various church committees and he served on the Klemme Elevator Board. His favorite activity was always spending time visiting with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; a son, Carroll Priebe and his wife, Karen, of Klemme and their four children, Keith, Clark, Carrie and Craig Priebe; a daughter, Kathy Linsenmeyer and her husband, Dale, of Beatrice, Neb. and their four children, Gretchen Olson and her husband, Tom, Rodney Linsenmeyer, Carla Harvey and her husband, Matthew and Jane Linsenmeyer; a son, Seth Priebe and his wife, Madelyn, of Klemme and their three children, Matthew, Michael and Laura Priebe; and one great-grandson, Jonathan Olson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Alvin; and a brother, Albert.
