Services for Mrs Lottie R. Meinders

KLEMME: Funeral services for Lottie R Meinders, 84, were held Tuesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald L. Campbell officiating in the absence of the pastor, Rev. Marvin Lehmann.

The organist was Gracka Gerardi, with the singers; Harvey Barz, Gordon Beier, Ardell Rosendahl, and Edwin Thiemann, singing, "In the Garden," and, "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were, LuVurne Josten, LeAllyn Josten, Vernon Jurgemeyer, Richard Meinders, Larry Meinders, and Lynn Lemke. She was laid to rest in the Klemme cemetery. The Andrew Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Lottie R. Meinders, 84, of Klemme passed away Saturday, June 21, 1975, at Concord Manor Nursing Home in Garner.

Lottie R. Meinders was born December 1, 1890, in Butler County near Aplington. She was the daughter of Aielt and Martje (DeBerg) Rienkens. As a child she moved northeast of Belmond.

On January 29, 1913, she was united in marriage to John Meinders at the Palsville Church northeast of Belmond. They lived in southern Hancock County until 1928 when they moved east of Klemme, where they farmed until 1946 when they retired and moved to Klemme. January 1975 they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Meinders was a member of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ. The Women's Fellowship, and Dorcas Circle.

Survivors include her husband John; five daughters: Mrs. August (Vergie) Josten of Klemme; Mrs. Erwin (Marie) Nuehring of Kanawha; Mrs. Alfred (Gladys) Jurgemeyer of Garner; Mrs. Laurie (Marjorie) Lemke of Garner; and Mrs. Duard (Mildred) Lewis of Phoenix. Arizona; one son, Elmer of Clear Lake; four sisters, Mrs. Luke (Ella) Wessels of Belmond; Mrs. Henry (Nellie) Meinders of Buffalo Center; Mrs. Porter (Mary) Faulhaber of Belmond; Mrs. Ray (Minnie)
Leebrick of Belmond, two brothers, Herman of Meservey, and Henry of Belmond; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two great-grandchildren.
