KLEMME — Daisy C. Lemke, 92, of Klemme, died Friday (May 1, 1981) at a Belmond hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Klemme United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don E. Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Peace Reformed Cemetery rural Garner.
Visitation will be after 7 tonight at Tenold Funeral Home, Klemme.
A lifelong resident of Hancock County, Mrs. Lemke was born and raised in the Garner area.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Mildred) McLaughlin Sr., Belmond, and Mrs. Rudy (Marjorie) Hefty, Britt; three sons, Leon, of Garner; Donald, Klemme, and Marvin G., Kearney, Neb.; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gesswein, Chicago; Mrs. Albert (Louise) Etchen and Mrs. Fred (Hulda) Etchen, both of Klemme, and Mrs. Carl (Martha) Swanson, Blooming Prairie, Minn.; a brother, Reuben Greiman, Jewell, and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Klemme - Belmond, IowaDaisy Lemke, the daughter of Dora (Lau) and William F. Greiman was born April 4, 1889 near Garner, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed as a member of Peace Reformed Church and served as church pianist until her marriage.
On March 14, 1912 she was united in marriage to Henry F. Lemke making their home on a farm near her parental home, and later moved to Garner, and then in July 1922 moved to Klemme where she has continued to make her home until entering the hospital in Belmond, where she died on May 1, 1981.
On September 19, 1927 her husband died leaving their five children for her to rear alone, all of whom survive her. Leon C. Lemke, Garner, Iowa; Mrs. Vernon (Mildred) McLaughlin of Belmond, Iowa; Donald Lemke of Klemme, lowa; Marvin G. Lemke of Kearney, Neb.; and Mrs. Rudy (Marjorie) Hefte of Britt, Iowa. Her interests centered around her family, her home and her garden. She was dearly loved by her 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was proud to receive a life membership in the Womens Society of Christian Service from the Klemme United Methodist church.
She is also survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gesswein, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Albert (Louise) Etchen and Mrs. Fred (Hulda) Etchen both of Klemme, Iowa; and Mrs. Carl (Martha) Swanson of Blooming Prairie, Minn.; 1 brother, Reuben Greiman of Jewell, lowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family would like to thank everyone for past kindnesses shown their mother and the many expressions of sympathy and for your attendance at this memorial service.
He gently took her hand and said,
"Come, I will give you rest."
