GARNER — Judy Larson, 67, died Saturday (Jan. 28, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Peace Reformed Church, south of Garner, with the Rev. Robert Grossmann officiating. Burial will be in Peace Reformed Cemetey, Garner.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Judy Larson, the daughter of Raymond and Stella (Huenemann) Haberkamp was born Sept. 12, 1927, on a farm near Garner. After graduation from Garner High School in 1945 she attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls and Drake University in Des Moines. She taught in rural schools in Hancock County, Jewell and in Alden. On June 15, 1953, she was married to Sterling Larson at Peace Reformed Church, south of Garner. They lived in Alden for one year, they then moved to Garner where they farmed until they moved into town in 1984.
She was a member of Peace Reformed Church Women's Missionary Society, the ONO Homemaker's Club, and the Homemaker's Hobby Club. She also taught Sunday
School for many years.She is survived by her husband Sterling Larson of Garner; one daughter, Joan Skolas and her husband John of Landenburg, Pa.; one son, Kim Larson and his wife Kathy of Garner; one granddaughter, Kristi Rae Larson of Garner; two sisters, Lola Hobson and her husband John of Danville, Leah Frandson and her husband Harold of Story City; several aunts and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother.
