Injuries fatal to Michael Holland, final rites held

Michael Allen Holland, 10 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Standly Holland of Leland, died last Thursday of injuries he suffered in an auto accident Sept. 23 [1968].

Funeral services were held Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. Owen Gangstead officiating. Burial was in Madison township cemetery.

Michael Holland was born July 30, 1958 at Forest City. His parents lived on a farm near Leland until he was four years old when the family moved into Leland. He had been a member of Cub Scout Den Four.

The boy was baptized Sept. 14, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran church.

He is survived by his parents two brothers, Charles and Ronald, both of Forest City and two sisters, DeAnn and Charlene.

Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Charlson and Inga Holland, all of Forest City and other relatives.

Mrs. Truman Haugen was soloist at services and Norma Boomgarden was organist.

Casket bearers were Timothy Berhow, Michael Brown, Elynn Charlson, Mark Charlson, Larry Holland and Dennis Tweeters.
