Diane Berdine Nevill, the daughter of Raymond and Delores (Wilson) Barnes, was born April 23, 1950 at Forest City. She attended school at Woden-Crystal Lake where she graduated from high school in 1968. She was employed at Winnebago Industries in Forest City for ten years. She continued her education graduating from Capri Cosmetology School in Mason City. On October 24, 1980 she was united in marriage to Loren "Skip" Nevill, Jr. at the United Methodist Church in Garner. They made their home in Garner where Diane owned and operated a beauty shop for the past seventeen years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching sports and, especially, helping people. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Those grateful for her life and love include her husband, Skip, of Garner; three children, Jody Moen, Jill Nevill and Casey Nevill all of Garner; her father, Ray Barnes of Britt; two sisters, Sandye Armstrong of Britt and Twyla Tindall and her husband, Mark, of Greene; a brother, Dennis Barnes and his wife, Linda, of Crystal Lake; a special niece, Dawn Barnes-Eenhuis and her husband, Terry, of Fargo, ND; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores, November 15, 1983.
