Mrs. Sena Neuberger, eldest daughter of Wert Loger and Minnie Cramer Loger, was born on
January 27, 1882, near Emden, 0st Friesland, Germany.

When she was about three years of age, the Loger family came to America; they settled in
Butler County, near Ackley, Iowa. Hero she attended public school, and the Reformed Church
near Aplington, Iowa. She was baptized in infancy.

On January 13, 1901, she was united in marriage to Lewis Neuberger, at the Presbyterian
Church, at Kelsey, Iowa, by the Rev. Fritz Schafer.

In the spring of 1915, they moved to a farm south of Klemme; five years later, they
purchased a farm northeast of town, where they lived until the death of Mr. Neuberger, in
December of 1937.

For the next eight years, Mrs. Neuberger kept house for her brother, Wert Loger; then in
1945, she and her brother moved back to the Neuberger farm, where they have lived ever since.

Mrs. Neuberger was a faithful member of the Klemme Methodist Church, and a life member of
the Woman's Society of Christian Service.

In July 1958, she became very ill, and was hospitalized for a period of ten days. She
seemed to fail in health from that time on. On January 28, 1959, she was hospitalized again.
This time she underwent surgery, and after spending eighteen days in the hospital, she went
to the home of her son, Melvin, where she remained bedfast until the time of her death, on
Tuesday, March 10th. She was a kind and devoted mother.

Surviving to mourn her death are four children: Donald, of Clear Lake; Melvin, Lester, and
Pearl, (Mrs. Clarence Lemke), all of Klemme; and one step-daughter Cora (Mrs. Albert Hippen),
of Luverne. Also 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother Wert Loger, and
many distant relatives and friends.

Mrs. Neuberger was preceded in death ,by her parents, Her husband Lewis. one daughter Lula
(Mrs. Garland Hoffman); one brother John; and two sisters: Mrs. John Schacterle, and Mrs.
Alvin Fischer, both of Ackley.
