GEORGE W. SCHOENWETTER
Mr. Schoenwetter passed away suddenly at his home in Klemme, Saturday evening, On October
28th.He was born near Klemme, on December 19. 18d3 the son of Charles and Sophia Schoenwetter.
As a youth he lived at home with his parents, and attended the rural schools in Liberty
township.On February 28, 1912, he was united in marriage to Mary Ludeke, and together they lived on
a farm west of Klemme for over thirty years, until 1945 when they moved in their home in
Klemme.Mr. Schoenwetter was active in community affairs. At one time he was director of the Klemme
Elevator, and the rural schools. While living on the farm he was a member of the Liberty
Methodist Church, and later was a member of the Klemme Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Mary, and three children:
Homer, of Garner,
Mildred, Mrs. Richard Lenihan of Britt,
Howard, of Bethesba, Maryland.Also surviving are two brothers: Art, of Klemme
Victor, of Clear Lake
and three sisters:
Mrs. Anna Pringnitz, of Klemme,
Mrs. Ella Yeager, of Hugo, Colorado
Myrtle Schoenwetter, of Webster, City, IowaSeven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ed, a sister Flora Schei and Ruth, who died
