Cora (used the nickname "Co") Martha Badker was born May 14, 1885 northwest of Dumont in Pittsford Township, Butler County, Iowa to Henry Frederick Badker and Ida Marie Francis Price. She was the seventh child of nine. Her siblings were: Henry William, Ida Marie, Wilhelmina, Augusta Marie, William Frederick, Frank Joseph, Emma Marie, Oscar and Ione.
Found Cora in the 1900 census living at Linden, Winnebago County, IA with her parents (Did not correct spelling errors): H F Boatker 58(should be Badker), Ida Boatker 51, Willie Boatker 21, Frank Boatker 19, Emma Boatker 16, Cora Boatker 14, Iona Boatker 7.
Found next in the 1905 census at Foxhome, Wilkin County, Minnesota: H F Badker with wife and 2 daughters: Ione and Cora.
Found in the 1910 census at Garner, Concord, Hancock, IA.: Henry F Bodker 67, Ida Bodker 39 (age is wrong), Anna Bodker 27, Cora Bodker 24, Ione Bodker 17. Says Cora is an instructor, probably a school teacher.Cora married Scott Tidrick Pollock on March 13th or 15th, 1913 at Garner, Hancock, IA. They had a son, Clark Clapton Pollock and a daughter, Bethel Miriam Pollack.
Found the family in the 1915, 1920, 1925, 1930 censuses at Garner, Hancock County, Iowa.
1915 says Cora is 29 years old, a Presbyterian.
1920 lists: Scott 33, a painter; Cora 34, Clark, 4 yrs 8 mos. They owned their home.
1925: Scott F Pollock 38, Cora M Pollock 39, Clark Pollock 9, Bethel Pollock 2.
1930: Scott Pollock 33 (should be 43), Cora Pollock 44, Clarke Pollock 15, Bethel Pollock 8.Cora Martha Badker Pollock died September 1976 at Garner, Hancock, IA. and is buried at the Concord Township Cemetery, Garner, IA. beside her husband.
(Note: Researching Cora has been confusing as there were many ladies with the same name, born and died at about the same time, living in the Midwest.)
