Jerry Lee Lamfers, 61, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at his home in Britt. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m., at the Amsterdam Township Cemetery, near Kanawha.

Jerry Lee, the son of Kasper and Grace (Harms) Lamfers, was born on March 10, 1945 in Clarion. He was raised in the Kanawha and Britt areas, making his home in Britt the past 25 years.

Jerry worked for Paul Devine and Marv Holck as a farmhand, and when he moved into Britt he was employed by Kerns Implement.

He enjoyed being outside, feeding the birds and squirrels. He liked to go fishing and do his gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry Lamfers.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Joan; brother, Kenneth Lamfers of Kanawha; sisters, Darlene Benson of Bishop, California and Linda Hamilton of Mason City; and aunts, Phyllis Wenig, Gertrude Paulson, Alice Lamfers and Frieda Mehus.
