Funeral services for Mrs. Lenora Hook, 83, Stratford, were held Monday, April 7. The 1:30 pm services were conducted by Rev. Ronald Skoog at the Stratford Baptist Church. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements were completed by the Hanson, Stark, Welin Funeral Home, Stratford.
Mrs. Hook passed away Thursday, April 3, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin Hook and Donald Hook, both Denver, Colo., and J.D. Hook of Boone; three brothers, Alvin Johnson and Temmis Johnson, both of West Salem, Wis. and Nordahl Johnson of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Ottena) Vance of Viroqua, Wis., Mrs. Edward (Rose) Zitzner of Viroqua, Wis., and Mrs. Earling (Sylvia) Sodahl of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was born Jan. 28, 1898 in Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Johnson. On June 25, 1918, she was married to Leroy Hook at Minneapolis.
She was a member of the Stratford First Baptist Church, Avon Chapter, OES and the Legion Auxiliary.
