OBITUARY

On Monday of last week, April 28th, the entire community was shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Nina Kepler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Kepler, who passed away at eight o'clock in the morning after suffering for over five months from Brights disease and other complications. Every thing had been done that loving hands could do but it seemed to be the Father's will that she be taken home to her Saviour. She was born at Stanhope January 26th, 1900, and at the time of her death was 13 years, 3 months and 2 days of age. Nina will be greatly missed by her schools associates as she was always a bright, sweet child, and also in her Sunday School class where she was always a faithful Christian worker. During her sickness she often had her little sister, Helen, bring her the hymn books and she would sing two of her favorite songs: "Softly, the Daylight is Fading" and "Jewels." These two songs were sung at the funeral services by a mixed quartette.

Although her life was short it is one to be long remembered by her friend.

Funeral services were held from the M. E. church Wednesday, April 30th, at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. G. H. Dick, assisted by Rev. W. D. English, and Rev. D. Shaw. Floral offerings from the friends and school were many and beautiful, the silent tributes of those who held her in such high esteem.

The services were largely attended.

Interment was made in the cemetery southeast of town.

Her father, mother, five sisters, three brothers, and other relatives are left to mourn her departure. The sympathy of the entire community goes with them in their bereavement.

"A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled."

"God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon his love had given,
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven."

"Fare thee well, our dearest sister,
Till we join that angel band.
May thy spirit lingering with us
Cheer us onward to that land."
