OBITUARY
Ole Madson, an old settler who lived southeast of Stanhope, died Saturday morning, Jan. 25, 193, at 12:30 a. m. He was born at Sogn, Norway, December 11, 1842, dying at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 14 days. He was united in marriage to Johanne Vamrock in the spring of 1869 and in 1892 he emigrated with his family to America, coming direct to Hamilton county where he had resided most of his life. He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. For the last few years he and his wife have made their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Anderson. He is survived by his wife and five children, one daughter and four sons, Mrs. A. E. Anderson of Stanhope, Andrew and Hans of Red Wing, Minn., Ole of Camrose, Canada, and Ember of Stanhope. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. N. Knutson, Tuesday, Jan. 28th at the St. Paul church and the remains were interred at the St. Paul cemetery. The sympathy of their friends is extended to them in their sorrow.
