Osmund Mortvedt

Osmund Mortvedt was born in Elne, Norway, March 8, 1846 and died very suddenly at his home near Randall Sunday, August 1, 1920, at 5 o'clock a.m.

He came to America in 1874 and has lived at his farm home 5 miles northeast of Randall ever since. At the time of his death he was 74 years and 5 months old. He lived alone on his farm and had always been in good health so his sudden death came as a shock to every one, he being sick only eight hours. He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, Stone Mortvedt of Elmore, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Andreas Braland of Radcliffe, Iowa. The deceased was a member of the N. St. Petri church.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 4th at the house at 1:30 o'clock and at the church at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Paulsrud. Interment was made in Mamrelund cemetery.
