FROZEN

Andrew Ribbey Died From Cold in His Lone Cabin

Andrew Ribbey, the bachelor recluse who lived several miles northwest of Randall, near little Wall lake was found frozen to death in his little home yesterday morning.

Neighbors had missed him for a day or two and went over to investigate. They found him stiff in death on the floor. His only bedding was an old mattress and two worn-out quilts and there seems to be no doubt that he had died from exposure to the severe cold.

Ribbey was widely known as a queer character. He had lived all alone for many years on his farm which he permitted to run to weeds and foul grasses. Recently he had contracted to sell his eighty acres for $22,000, it is said.
