YOUNG MOTHER PASSED AWAY

HUSBAND AND SEVEN SMALL CHILDREN MOURN THE LOSS OF WIFE AND MOTHER

A very sad death occurred last Sunday morning when Mrs. M. O. Jacobson, a mother of seven small children, the oldest of which is only nine years old, was called away by death. Mrs. Jacobson gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, on November 19, and was taken ill with pneumonia and died Sunday morning about seven o'clock having been sick a little over a week.

Olive Victoria Swenson was born July 7, 1914, she was united in marriage to Ole M. Jacobson, and they have since resided on the farm northeast of Roland, until she passed away last Sunday, being 33 years old at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband and seven small children, Violet, Lucille, Maxine, Gertrude, Opal, and the twin babies, Olive Victoria and Ole Martin, Jr. She also leaves here mother, Mrs. N. E. Swenson, three sisters and one brother, Mrs. John Quam and Mrs. Clara Strong of this place, Mrs. Axel Vold of Ellsworth, and Gudmund Swenson of Crookston, Minn.

Funeral services were held from Zion church yesterday afternoon, Rev. G. O. Paulsrud of Randall, officiating. A large number gathered to show their respect and sympathy to the stricken family, only about half of the people being able to get into the church. Interment took place in the Zion church cemetery.

Among those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Gudmund Swenson of Crookston, Minn., Mrs. Carrie Erickson of Lakefield, Minn., Mrs. Julia Ostrem of Adrian, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hanson of Jewell, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Estrem and Andrew Estrem of Slater, S. Langland of Williams, Mrs. Axel Vold, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Nelson and family, Will Henderson of Ellsworth, Mrs. Belle Swenson of McCallsburg and Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Jacobson and Mr. and Mrs. Knoke of Story City.
